Omelet You Cook

I absolutely adore this game. The design is really tight, gameplay loop is very satisfying, and it has a great visual style. I highly recommend you try it, especially if you like roguelikes. You are tasked with using ingredients to build up an omlette to satisfy customers' needs, as well as reaching a point value. Different ingredients have different point values, effects and synergies. Additionally, you can get helpers to grow your build even more. When you're building your omlette, you have to quickly select the ingredient off a conveyor belt. This rapid pace gameplay (particularly at higher difficulties) adds a layer of chaos which can be pretty fun, even if it results in the end of a run.

Something I really appreciate about the game is the score scaling. Games like Balatro and others (while great games!!) have what feels like score creep, with incredibly high numbers that become hard to really feel. Omelet you Cook, meanwhile, has relatively low scale numbers (in the scale of 10 to 100's). It feels nice to play around, where a variety of strategies can remain relevant as the scaling is not as extreme. I've been following the game for awhile, I bought it in early access and the developers were constantly updating the game up to its release. They're still planning on more updates too! They are a small dev team of just two people, but they've done amazing work.
